Defining a Mystery School
By definition, a Mystery School is a body of initiates dedicated to preserving, protecting, and perpetuating ancient spiritual teachings. These schools have constructed noble temples worldwide, publicly and privately offering their wisdom to those deemed ready to receive it. The initiates of these schools are known by many names—Guardians, Protectors, Light Bearers, Teachers, Healers, Record Keepers, Magicians, and Watchers.
Often hidden in plain sight, their teachings shrouded in secrecy and reserved for those who were truly ready to understand and embody them.
The Enigma of Mystery Schools
The term "mystery" in Mystery Schools stems from the secrecy historically surrounding their teachings. These teachings, considered the keys to living an enlightened and empowered life, were once universally understood and practiced for the greater good of all. However, as times changed, various forces and institutions perceived these sacred teachings as threats, leading to their suppression and the necessity for Mystery Schools to operate underground.
Throughout history, entry into these schools was by invitation only, following careful observation and validation of the candidate's readiness and dedication. While many Mystery Schools still follow this tradition, the Modern Mystery School (MMS) has adopted a more inclusive approach.
MMS is considered an "open" Mystery School, inviting those who seek higher knowledge to join and study while living in the everyday world. This openness aligns with the current global shift in energy and the awakening of humanity to its true divine nature.
The Legacy and Evolution of Mystery Schools
There are seven Ancient Mystery Schools globally, located in North America, England, Romania, Australia, Japan, Tibet, and Africa. Of these, six remain closed to the public. The Modern Mystery School is unique in that it is the only school openly promoting the initiatory path into the Great Brotherhood and Sisterhood of Light. MMS has established centers across various countries, including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, Japan, South Africa, the Caribbean, and the Philippines, with ongoing expansion worldwide.
